On day one of an initiative, not every organization may be ready for an offshore delivery model and requires onsite assistance while other organizations may have a project in a maintenance mode that is taking up valuable time from in house staff. All situations need to be considered when evaluating the right delivery model for an organization.
Onsite
Organizations with existing IT infrastructure and dedicated staff are typically well equipped to have consultants staffed onsite at their premises. Splash has consultants and IT professionals deployed around the country and integrated into some of the most advanced IT departments such as Microsoft and Intel.
Offshore
Our Offshore Development Center (ODC) provides our clients an opportunity to take advantage of an extended workforce with overnight hours at a cost effective rate. Our ODC is utilized for offshore application development, application support as well as Business Process Outsourcing initiatives. The implementation of an offshore model can take on a few different modes:
- Dedicated Team
A dedicated team involves an anchor from Splash on the ground at the client site serving as a liaison between the client and the offshore team. Within this model, the client hands work off to the anchor who is responsible for the effective delivery of the work by managing the offshore team members.
- Extended Team
An extended team can also be considered a fulltime equivalent model. Essentially, we put in place the right team members integrated with the client’s team deployed in our ODC. The work and tasks in this model are typically managed by the client.
Our experience in running offshore delivery combined with our software development core has enabled us to build and deploy the most effective tools to manage and report on offshore initiatives.
